This one is going to make your mouth water!

The Cupcake Corner recently opened in Saskatoon on 8th Street next to Jisk
and in the same parking lot as Thyme Maternity. As soon as I found out Saskatoon
had a specialty cupcake store, well - I HAD to stop in and say hi! What goes
better with Kids and moms than cupcakes?

Be ready to be impressed! The selection is large and the flavors are amazing!
My daughter was all over the Chocolate Cake with Strawberry Icing and I tried
the Mocha Icing also on Chocolate Cake. BOTH were so delicious that we had to
get a few more to take home.

Individual cupcakes are: $1.75 for the mini size, $3.00 for full size, and
$3.75 for specialty cupcakes, taxes included. They also custom decorate for
birthday parties, special occasions and weddings. I am thinking this may be the
perfect birthday cake for my daughter as each child gets a special, yummy,
perfect size piece!

We are giving away one dozen mini cupcakes to a lucky winer EACH month for 6

yummy treats sooo much, we are so excited to share them with you!

The Ispiration

We saw an opening in the prairie market for a specialty cupcake store, and
after months of research and testing, we decided to give it a shot before it was
too late. If you have an idea or opportunity to do something on your own don't
wait. Before you know it it'll be too late, or someone will do it instead of
you. .

What is the most rewarding thing about being a mom running your own
business?

Seeing people truly enjoy our product, especially when it comes to weddings!
There is something special and rewarding about people asking us to be a part of
the most important day of their lives!

What advice would you give to someone considering starting their own
business?

Have a business partner until you know what you are doing. There is simply no
way that I have found to not work 60-70 hours a week without having someone else
as equally committed as you. That being said, the type of business will greatly
determine the hours you work. But don't expect to "work your own hours" and make
$100,000 a year for the first few years. Building a good business or system is
more than a full time job.

What's your motivation?

Knowing that I have an opportunity to create something that people will
remember me for. Building a legacy that I can be proud of!

Where do you see your business in 5 years?

Hopefully we'll have 5 or 6 locations with a self supporting system so that I
don't have to work 60-70 hours a week anymore!
